Welcome to the Rigor NFL Show. I'm your host, Shield Kapati.
We got a fun show for you today. A couple of guests here on Radio Row at the Super Bowl.
We got Chris Long and then we got Ashton Gentie. I wish I could tell you what we actually talked about,
but I'm not sure. It went in 400 different directions, but you know what?
They played ball and we had a lot of fun. So I got Billy Gill here with me.
Then we'll welcome him in Chris Long. Then we'll get to Ashton Gentie.
Let's take a break. We'll come right back.
All right, we are back here on the Rigor NFL show with Billy Gill and Chris Long.
How are you? Chris, how are we doing, my friend?
I'm good, bro. How are you?
Good. Great to see you. Chris is here on behalf of Subaru Billion.
I feel like you got the details for that.
I feel like, yeah, you're going to, you're here on behalf of Subaru.
That's right. They're part of the SPCA.
Adopted some dogs.
That's right. We like underdogs, right?
Philly, adjacent personalities on this dot here.
Eight-year anniversary. I think of us winning that bowl.
Somebody texted me this morning. That's similar. I don't have a calendar.
But Subaru loves underdogs. We're going to Montville later today to play with some dogs.
And Subaru once encouraged people to adopt the underdogs.
The older dogs that people kind of pass over.
I'll be going out there in a Subaru Outback Wilderness, which is tight.
I've always wanted to get a Subaru and lift it up, put it on like 36 inch tires.
You can imagine that. So maybe they'll actually hook me up.
They haven't told me if they would or not.
Okay.
But, yeah, they're working with the SPCA. They love underdogs.
And I think it's just a great partnership.
Yeah.
Now, I was told, Chris, but you know, I ran into small Seattle radio friends today.
Yeah.
And they said, we got to get Chris long gone.
He was the first person who adopted the Seahawks this year.
Yeah.
He's like a legit Subaru container.
Are you just, now Billy's looking a little skeptical.
Yeah, I mean, no.
I put him to win the West.
I have a bone to pick with.
He's a fun attendant.
What is it?
I hear, you know, supporting underdogs.
Yeah.
And you're picking the favorite to win the game.
Well, I'm not going to lay the points.
That's a lot of points in a game that could be lower total.
But I got to, I got to stick with my guns, man.
I've been picking against the Patriots the whole playoffs.
I'm not going to stop now.
I just think like, listen, if you're making the Patriots pick,
it's probably a coaching QB pick.
As good as I think McDonald is having Josh McDaniel,
having Mike Vrable, having people in that organization
with Super Bowl experience, because this is a different animal
playing in this game.
And the quarterback, who I think is legitimately, in my opinion,
I would probably give him the MVP.
If it's a regular season award, I give him the MVP.
But I think Seattle's defense, and it's not just the pass rush.
I think as much as anything, the way they can erase the run phase
and kind of play press and get up on these guys and take the receivers away.
Drake may loves to play with timing.
That's the one thing they've done really well there.
They've coached him to play with timing.
They have the check downs.
Their timing is going to be disrupted in this game.
The only thing I could see is like New England,
as much as they've blitzed and gotten after people,
if they can get Sam to do those Sam Darnal kind of things.
Yeah.
Which he's avoided in the playoffs.
Then they win the game.
Yeah.
It feels like the Patriots' path is Drake may be in Superman
or Sam Darnal turning it over a couple times.
Or the weird special teams, miscues.
You know, because you mentioned the Super Bowl is different, right?
What advice you've probably been asked this question.
It's probably a terrible question, but you can make fun of me.
But if you told these players to wear in there for the first time,
I wish I knew this before the first time I played in Super Bowl.
What are the things that are different?
Find your normal as early as you can in the week.
It is such a different week.
It's a you know what show.
I remember when I used to travel in the NFL,
you're quietest moment of the week,
where you're finally recovering physically.
You've got some time.
You know, if you've got kids at home,
you're certainly not getting any quiet at home.
You get to the away hotel.
You plop your stuff down in your room.
You lay on the bed before meetings and you say,
oh, but when I got to Houston,
the first Super Bowl I've played in,
I remember trying to do that.
And here in helicopters outside,
people outside,
converged around the hotel.
You can't go down with a lobby without people getting on you.
You got radio row.
You got media day.
You got the owner having a party Friday night,
like trying to watch film.
And somebody from teams like, come on.
You got to go this party.
I'm like, are we trying to win the game or not?
You know, there's a lot of distractions.
The halftime is longer.
The whole thing.
You walk out,
because I used to walk out and do that little lap,
just to kind of like see the field.
And I remember doing that before the Super Bowl
and thinking like, oh my god,
it is a zoo out here.
It's like the world's media.
It's got that big game atmosphere.
And not like a regular season or a playoff,
big game like an international game kind of feel.
It's almost like you wish you didn't go to the Super Bowl.
You got the hassles, you know?
Yeah, you wish you came in on Friday.
Like honestly, like as a player,
it'd be nice to come in on Friday,
but that's not the name of the game.
But once the game starts,
you're adrenaline kind of just subsides.
You hit somebody.
That's what they say.
It goes away.
Yeah.
Billy, yeah.
Anything you were going in a different direction.
Otherwise, we get to these props.
We're going to throw it on slide.
No, can I ask you something about the Patriots.
You're time with the Patriots.
Yeah.
So obviously the Patriots are in the Super Bowl.
But the news around the Patriots,
the past couple of weeks have been hall of fame voting.
Bill Bella check not getting in.
Mr. Kraft not getting in.
And we've been kind of talking about this for a while,
wondering the whole Mr. Kraft situation.
Like obviously it's a sign of respect.
But why does everyone just go along with this?
Why are we all just saying Mr. Kraft, Mr. Kraft to him?
Oh, I don't know, man.
That's a funny thing.
I've called him Robert Kraft a lot.
All right.
Like just right now.
That was the end of your last day with the Patriots.
I just don't know.
If I was to, I just don't think about that stuff.
It's not like I'm like anti, I'm not like anti-Robert Kraft,
but I'm not afraid of Robert Kraft.
Because I'm going to show about my house.
Robert Kraft.
People seem to be afraid of him.
I don't know why.
He's a perfectly nice guy.
You know, I thought the bill not being in the hall of fame
was kind of BS.
Because to me, what was it about?
If you all had to guess, what was it about?
The anti-hub.
It didn't win enough.
I guess.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I was buying this sort of back room, Bill Polion,
hey, maybe you should have to wait, spy gate type.
Because I can't think of another,
and that's I'm not saying that's a great reason.
No, I know.
But no one can look at the resume and say no.
So somebody tell me this.
If the Pat's thought it was like,
or if the NFL thought it was like some moral high ground deal breaker,
shouldn't they have Pete Rose them?
Like they didn't.
They kept enjoying, you know, the fruits of that dynasty.
They kept enjoying his greatness for all those years.
And then when it's time to recognize them,
they're like, oh, you got to wait.
We're going to tax you.
It's too big a deal to put you in first ballot.
Yeah.
So we're going to make you wait a year.
Like, what does that say about your moral high ground?
Yeah.
Like, like, okay.
So we're too good for your year one, but year two.
We'll let you in.
Yeah.
Like that's BS to me.
Um, and also like, you know, that, hey,
he only, he only coached in New England had success there.
Well, he also, they put his game plan as a DC in the hall of fame.
And, you know, how many coaches getting the damn hall of fame
with one place that they were dominant?
Yeah.
So why is, why are we holding him to a higher standard?
Yeah.
That's the goofiest thing in the world, in my opinion.
There was also the weird theory, Chris, of the, hey,
everybody else is going to vote for him.
I don't need to.
I'm going to get these other guys in.
Have you ever done that?
Like, when you, remember when you were a kid,
did you ever have to like vote for teammates who are going to be
in the All Star game?
That's interesting.
You know, where it's like, well, everyone's going to vote for this guy.
Let me give this other guy some love.
Dude, I think, you know what sucks is like,
the Pro Bowl is totally broken.
It's been broken for a long time.
Yeah.
And the Hall of Fame should be like, shouldn't be that.
Like, the Hall of Fame emotion shouldn't factor into it.
Nothing like that.
Like, it seems like the only thing that we still have
is like, all pro.
Like, you know, that to me.
That's the only reliable thing.
If you want to look at history of the last 10 years,
where you're like, I can actually trust this.
Yes.
Yeah.
So I mean, like, it's a broken kind of system.
Yeah.
It sucks that, you know, Bill should be in, man.
Like, and maybe he comes back.
And maybe that's part of it.
Like, maybe he wants to come back and coach somewhere.
I don't know.
But, yeah, it's BS.
The other thing, Bill, that caught my attention
when Chris was talking, saying like, you go home.
If you have kids, that's going to be busy.
We were talking this week about just the NFL culture
as it pertains to fatherhood, you know?
Check it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Just flexing out of it.
Oh my God, are we in danger?
Yeah, I don't know.
I'll protect you.
Are we in danger?
You're good.
He's a blazer, you know?
There you go.
He's saying, let's see.
Are you hanging first?
I'll see you.
Yeah.
All right, what you got?
No, like, fatherhood in the NFL.
Check it.
Just walking in.
I like that.
That's the fun of being here.
Do some jujitsu.
All right.
There was the him.
You do jujitsu with him?
I have before.
But he's always, you know, guys that do jujitsu,
they like to like, you know, greet people and like, kind of like,
do their moves on him.
You're substantially larger than him, obviously.
But he has probably like the technique.
Can you?
Oh, yes.
You know, they beat the shit out of you.
Big truck.
He knows it.
He knows it.
Big truck.
Big truck beats a little jujitsu.
All right.
Okay.
What is the workout routine now?
I think we're of a similar age.
I'm trying to, you know, my whole Instagram is just dad material.
No, I know I need to feel it.
I know I can't do it.
I know I know I can't do it.
I know nothing to do with anything.
I know I can't do the workout.
We're on the same level.
Yeah.
We're a similar athletic level.
I would say.
Similar.
I would say.
But my whole Instagram now, it's like golf tips.
And then it's like, you're over 40.
You should be doing this stretching routine.
Walk.
Lift weights three days a week.
You don't need to do it.
If you listen to your algorithm, you'd never have time in the day.
You'd be doing a bunch of stuff.
But I do like like the clothing and hat recommendations.
It gives me.
Yeah, I buy some stuff.
I've been doing it a long time.
And then it shows up.
I love it.
People get mad.
I'm like, they know me.
They know what I like.
I bought underwear the other day that I was targeted at.
This has a ball hammock.
I got to try it.
Yeah.
I don't remember what it was.
I got to try it.
Yeah, it was.
There's a promo code.
I have to sign up to like a yearly subscription.
I'm like, we're going to try it.
It's pretty good.
It's a little immediately.
Yeah.
It's like a little capsule.
You know what else I've been targeted with lately?
Yeah.
Is mushroom coffee.
And it's supposed to be like four different or five different types of mushrooms.
You've got to get your adapters.
There's these little things in there.
And then they combine.
It's supposed to get rid of my gut.
Okay.
And I'm seeing it.
I'm like, I got to get rid of my gut.
Yeah.
They're telling me here.
If I work out too much, it's not going to do anything cardio.
It's a waste of time.
What you've got to do is just drink one today for 30 days.
It's mushroom coffee.
And it's going to clear out your gut.
Do you guys have a really good algorithm?
My algorithm is like like like accidents in other countries like semi-trucks hitting motorcycles
or like terrible news about the government and how screwed up it is or like football.
Like I don't get any of this stuff.
I need to get, I need to get y'all's algorithm.
Well, but you don't need to work out.
You don't need to get rid of a gut.
Like they know you're fine.
You're interested in these accidents.
Yeah.
I don't know, dude.
You just need to take care of your microbiome, dude.
Okay.
That's the bottom line.
How did we do that?
Well, a lot of fiber.
And you want to be careful about the foods that you're putting in your gut.
You gut health is your health, dude.
Okay.
That's what I've realized as I've gotten older.
So what should I change?
Like what did you change?
I don't know what you're doing, dude.
Do a fiber supplement.
Imagine everything that's bad.
That's what I'm doing, you know?
Well, then I would stop doing those things.
It's so hard.
And I would say food is so delicious.
No, dude.
Up the protein.
Up the fiber.
Okay.
Up the greens, man.
You know what happened to me one time?
So I did track in college.
Yeah.
So I said, you know, I was a pole vaulter, obviously.
But you could tell them.
Really?
Yeah.
So I said what I said was, I got to put on weight.
Because at the time, I was, I graduated senior.
I was waiting like 160 or something, right?
I'm like, I got to put on some muscle.
Because I'm like, Lanky.
I'm tall-ish enough.
But I'm Lanky.
I got to put on some weight.
I got to put on some muscle.
So I went into a supplement store.
And I was like, I got to get like some weight gain,
or I got to some protein.
So I asked the woman that was working there.
I was like, hey, I want to gain some muscle.
I want to gain weight.
What should I do?
She's just like, take this.
And what she gave me, she didn't know what she was doing.
She gave me some gear.
Dude, she gave me something that was five scoops of protein
to put in a shake.
It was like drinking mud.
Yeah.
It was disgusting.
I did it like three times.
I couldn't force it down after a while.
And then you know what happened to me?
What?
I failed my physical because they're like, hey,
you're paying out protein.
They're like, they're like, they're like, they're splitting your
urine.
It's like soft, sir.
Yeah.
You messed up your kidneys with this stuff.
And I was like, I don't think this is life for me.
That's why you can't go to like GNC and be like,
I didn't want to do.
What do I do?
But you nailed it.
Yeah.
What do I do?
Honestly, though, creatine helps.
Okay.
If you're not on creatine, every man woman should be on creatine.
Everybody should be on creatine.
I'm on seven grams a day.
I do, I actually cross my Subaru and create creatine gummies.
But like, that stuff's good for your cognition.
It's good for your muscle mass.
Like, your retention.
Creatine gummies sounds easy.
It is easy.
You're done with it.
Creatine gummies.
Yeah, yeah.
But it's not like a scoop that I have to put in your gummies.
Yeah, whatever.
Okay.
Yeah, I'm just making sure you know it's creatin-
the first part.
Mushroom, gummies.
Yeah.
Like, creatine gummies.
Creatine helps a lot.
I noticed like, you know how they say like, this thing works, this thing doesn't.
When I don't take creatine, I notice the difference.
Yeah.
This was great.
I mean, I had to come in with the plane where you all will throw some prop bets as well.
She he'd.
When you say, uh, a long reception, you know, I had to.
MVP long shot 30 plus your gain.
Okay.
Because don't you think yeah.
Marcus Jones ends up on, on, uh, Cooper cup a lot.
Yes.
And don't you think they probably travel, Gonzo at a little bit.
Here's the thing though, and a little double football.
Yeah.
One thing I loved about Kubea last week in general is like where he moves his chess pieces.
Like, when they ran Red Zone scissors down there with JSM out of the.
that's what they're going to have to do.
They're going to have to move people around,
get them out of those matchups.
But I think Shaheed, whoever draws the Davis matchup,
those are the props.
Those are the props I'm here.
What, what an interview with that one.
That was fantastic.
Stakes of dogs, bought some cars.
Yeah, taking some free-to-teens,
got a new workout plan, maybe.
We'll follow up on that, you know.
Car accident, other countries for you.
Yeah, do like terrible stuff.
Like, don't look at that, don't stop on those.
Don't you go to an SMI, like,
a phone off of like a dangerous road.
Like, that's insane.
Now, my phone is here, and it's listening,
and I'm probably going to get that right on the phone.
His name is Chris Long, great guy, green light, podcast.
Check it out.
Check out, Subaru.

All right, we are back here on the Ringer NFL show
with Ashton Genti, who's got this nice jacket on,
this Sharpie jacket on here, on behalf of Sharpie.
How you doing, man?
I'm doing wonderful.
Shout out to Sharpie for it's honor to be one of their rookies
out of year.
At this year, I get the honor of passing it down
to another great running back, Jeremiah Love.
So shout out to Jeremiah Love, man.
See, he's a pro, Billy.
I gave you the read, because I was like,
we gotta read this for Ashton Genti.
And he just kind of did it for you.
Are you okay?
Because he had to stole your thunder.
No, I heard you're passing the sharpie to Jeremiah Love.
I'm wondering, is this like an official ceremony?
How do we do this?
Also, you mentioned your jacket.
Yeah.
What do we do with this jacket after you wear this out?
You're gonna club in that jacket.
It's a nice jacket, a little warm.
I think I'm gonna keep it on.
Yeah, I might go to sleep and all that type of stuff.
Okay.
No, man, just passing the torch down, you know what I'm saying?
I can't be the rookie, you know what I'm saying?
I'm going in a year, too.
So Jeremiah obviously being an amazing player,
you know, doing bold things on the field.
And Sharpie's doing bold things off the field.
So it's only right to pass it down to him.
I notice these sharpies that you brought,
you have their, they have your signature on them.
You have like your own signature branded Sharpie.
Yeah, it's pretty dope.
Yeah.
Can I ask you a question?
And I love Sharpie.
Growing up, I love Sharpie.
I love when they have the different color Sharpies.
The red, the green, what's your favorite color Sharpie?
I guess we'll start with.
Your favorite color?
It's gotta be the metallic silver.
Ooh, that one's fire.
I like the metallic silver over like the copper gold ones.
I think I have two.
Like those are a little too flash.
It's a little too looking.
Yeah, the silver is just right.
You know it's perfect.
Yeah, you sign a Raiders jersey and silver.
It's perfect.
Everyone can use a silver Sharpie.
Yeah, exactly.
Now, you know the problem is Sharpie.
And I don't know what pull you have now
since you're passing the torch or passing the Sharpie.
I don't know if this ends your partnership with Sharpie.
But my kids, two and four, also love Sharpie.
The problem is they love decorating the walls with Sharpie.
So Sharpie is a great product.
It's such a quality product.
The only problem with Sharpie is it's
impossible to remove.
Yeah, I mean, that just shows you how great they are.
You know what I'm saying?
It's permanent.
You know what I'm saying?
What's she using this commitment?
Yes, they're committed to the Sharpie.
I'm wondering though, like with this pull you out with Sharpie.
Maybe I'm meant to Sharpie a racer or something.
You know, you pull this one out.
It has your signature in the Netherlands.
Boom, a racer or something.
You know, you might be on the summit.
All right, Sharpie.
Let's go into this together.
Let's do it.
All right, there you go.
Your partnership formed here on Rick.
I know Ashton has not been asked that much about Sharpie
and any of his other interviews today.
So there we go.
We're sitting on the tone here.
All right, now Ashton, when you're watching the Super Bowl
on Sunday, I'm not asking this for any specific reason,
but when you see Kenneth Walker,
are you going to perhaps just again for no reason,
maybe be picturing yourself in that scheme
with some of those rounds?
Hmm, how would I perform if, you know,
hypothetically speaking, I were in that scheme
with that type of coach?
Yeah, I mean, you know, I definitely,
you know, my mind might go there, you know,
and shout out to Kenneth Walker,
you know, having an amazing year,
amazing playoff run.
But, nah, you know, we'll see,
you know, I might be looking at a couple things for sure.
Okay, all right.
Now, we had Chris Longon earlier today
and he was giving us some tips on just
what we can do to be healthier.
And you are obviously an NFL athlete.
Great, Chip, he told us protein, fiber, creatine.
Am I missing anything, Billy?
We talked about like mushroom coffee
because it'll clear out your gut,
but I don't know what you're doing.
He said gut health, very important, yeah.
Well, what do you have for it?
Now, we are older than you're looking at us,
like these guys are a lost cause perhaps,
but if you had to give us some tips perhaps,
what would you say?
Yeah, I think it's just all about, you know,
what you eat, I mean, I know everybody,
you know, can't get a personal chef,
but I mean, I have a personal chef to really,
oh, wow.
Now in my calories and, you know,
exactly what I'm eating and then,
I would say that everybody, pretty much everybody
can get a juicer, get you a juicer,
juice your own fruits, you know,
make whatever flavors you want,
and talk about gut health, you know,
nothing's better for you than some fresh,
freshly squeezed juice.
But someone told me actually that when you juice the fruit,
it loses the fiber, is that a myth?
Do we know?
I don't believe in that.
Okay, I like that.
I love this.
Can I ask you, so how does a personal chef work?
Are you surprised by the meals?
Like you just come up and like,
the chef has like lunch is ready,
and you just sit down and lunch,
no, I'm so interested in this.
Like, is there like a menu,
do you work this out in advance?
Look, let's be real.
I'm never gonna have a signature sharp beat.
I'm never gonna have a personal chef.
I disagree with that.
No, but it's really not what you're gonna accomplish.
I like that.
I like that.
But, nah, so yeah, we have a menu and, you know,
especially now offseason, you know,
it's really dialed in.
But, you know, some days it is just kind of
go with the flow, you know,
I might want pork chops,
I might want salmon, you know,
so he can cook just about anything, you know.
Well, you're the boss, right?
So like, the chef can say this is what you should eat.
This is what's good for you.
But if you're like, you know what, no,
we're having a pepperoni pizza today.
Right, I could say that,
but, you know, he's gonna hold me accountable.
Yeah.
You're gonna be great, you know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
Maybe on the cheek, you know.
That's the thing is you're trying to two people
who are not great,
so we don't really understand that mentality.
I have said though,
if I were ever to come across a nice,
you know, amount of money,
fruits and glutes.
Those are two things.
I want glutes and glutes.
I want someone to slice in the fruits for me,
making me food like a person,
and then someone to stretch me out,
Ashton, because earlier,
we had Chris Long sitting where you were sitting.
I got up, I didn't want to kick him,
and left groin.
Those, I didn't get my stretches,
it locked up a little.
I, when I see you guys on the practice field,
getting stretched and they're pushing the foot up
and they hear me, I'm like,
if I could get someone to do this for me every day,
I would be a new man.
What do you think?
Wait, so you want a trainer too?
I just, I guess stretcher.
I just want a stretcher.
I want them.
Just a personal stretcher.
Yeah, what do you think?
I mean, if this is a business opportunity,
Ashton, maybe not as good as the Sharpie idea.
Right, right.
I think there's something there for sure.
Okay.
You think there's something there?
You're going to walk around the Raiders facility
and just say, hey guys, next year, new coach.
Well, no, we know there's going to be new coach.
We're not sure exactly who it is yet,
but we might show you what it is.
We cannot confirm our time.
Possibly a new quarterback.
We don't know that situation.
We're not going to get into that.
We're not going to talk about
maybe a new quarterback.
And then also new routine, new motto.
You bring everything before the game.
Hands in, fruits and blutes.
I don't know if I can do that one.
Okay.
I don't know if they would get ready for the game
with that one.
All right.
Maybe just one time, dude.
Yeah.
Yeah.
See how they react to it.
With the coaching staff and the stuff and the change,
though, how are you like online a lot?
Or is it just people texting you?
Hey, look at this.
Are you like, man, don't, don't tell me anything.
I'll find out what it happens.
How do you consume the NFL sort of rumor mail
when it obviously could affect you, your team,
your standing, all that stuff?
Yeah, I mean, obviously, I got social media.
So I see different stuff.
But at the end of the day, I'm just waiting until it's official.
Send stone.
When I'm in the building and I see those people in the building.
Yeah.
We were talking, you said you're on social media.
We were talking about algorithms earlier with Chris Long.
He says he's got crazy stuff, like crashes in other countries.
Billy says he's getting a lot of underwear ads.
What was the thing you got there?
Yeah, little hammocks.
That's what they give him.
Yeah.
I haven't tried it.
I ordered them.
They came while I was here, so I haven't tried them yet.
They've told me that it's supposed to be good.
I got a trial, so let me know.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Next year, you come back.
Yeah.
I said, mine's like, yeah, I got some golf tips.
And then I got a lot of like, you're over 40.
Like, don't die early here are the things you can do.
What is on as to genty algorithm?
On my algorithm, it gets pretty crazy, but I'm not going to lie.
I've been having a lot of ads, like, yeah, underwear, they've been talking about, oh, there's
plastic and, you know, all this dangerous stuff.
I mean, you know, the micro thing.
Yeah.
A bunch, too, honestly.
We're going to be honest and you're going to have to answer them.
But we don't need to get into that today if you don't want to.
We're getting to know him.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Next year, yeah.
Yeah, we can get into the nitty gritty.
Okay.
Yeah.
Like it.
That they recommend stuff for me because they know what I like when it's like, hey, you
might want to buy this hat.
You're a bald man.
The hat's an important thing.
I'm like, great.
You know what I like.
Do you like?
I like the algorithm when they're trying to sell me stuff.
I'm not one of these like doom and gloom like, oh, man, I can't believe they're selling
these stuff.
How do you feel about it?
I mean, I feel pretty good about it.
I mean, you know, meta is obviously, you know, they're listening, they're taking notes.
So I'm like, I might think something and then, you know, how do you, you know, do this,
but it just pops up later.
You know what I'm saying?
I had a huge argument with my wife because she's like, your phone's listening to everything.
I go, no, it's not that the mic is off.
And the next thing I know something we talked about, I vlog on Instagram and they film it.
It's crazy.
Well, that's what I'm wondering too, is it that they know us or are they like programming
us?
Like this is what you should like.
This is what you should buy.
Yeah.
That's a good point, you know?
Have you, like you said that you keep up, you have social media, you see the news and
stuff like that.
This game's in San Francisco.
Have you seen the stories of like that substation that's next to the stadium that's like a power
facility that allegedly is like sending off these waves and that's why 49ers have been
getting hurt?
I've seen that.
I've heard that.
Apparently they're investigating it.
Stay away.
Are you going to the game?
I am not going to the game.
Stay away.
Don't get close to that stadium.
I'm going to try to get hurt.
Yeah, yeah.
No, I do think that was debunked with some reporting.
A scientific expert.
I will say this.
You know, poor came out that the players associations looking into this.
Oh, is that true?
So now it's taking, it's being taken to another level now.
Listen.
You probably, you got a nice facility in Vegas, but oh, yeah, you know, top of the line,
you know, in our mountain health facility, you know, it's wonderful.
I mean, so he, so he, you get the personal chef for what dinner in the in season, but
then the cafeteria, they're probably cooking up great stuff there too as well, right?
Wonderful.
Yeah.
It's as to, is that the best part about being a professional athlete?
It's got to be out of there.
It's got to, it's up there for sure.
You know, stuff that you just take, like you just take, not like a, like criminal take,
but like just like extra stuff, like you hear there's just a bunch of sharpies, right?
Like, what do they have?
Like normal people at work, they'll seem like, oh, you know what, I could use a couple
pens, you swipe a couple of pens, you go home with that.
What do you take from an NFL facility?
They have like everything.
I mean, I for sure, the clothes, like the shorts, you know, socks, they got this big
drawer with a bunch of socks in there, I go in there every now and just, you know, take
a bunch of pairs.
All right.
All right.
So, recently, where I used to, where are the socks and the more than that come back and
I would stuff them in the shoot, you know, my parents first generation of America, because
they, we, we're getting ones, but now I'm like, you know what, I got a paycheck.
I'm not, if I wore it outside once in their little sweaty, I'm changing them from
my neck.
You don't do that?
Yeah.
Oh, no, I can't say that.
No.
You know, multiple times in a day.
Absolutely.
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
Yeah.
Well, right now, I will say, you know, it's a warm in here.
I don't want to get too, again, it's our first time talking to you, so I don't want
to go too far.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We can't go too far.
There you go.
Do you avoid the game just because you're one of those guys?
It's like, I don't want to go to a Super Bowl until I'm in the Super Bowl.
There's players that do that.
Um, I wouldn't say it's because of that.
I just, I just don't really have the interest to go to the game.
You just want to get out of here.
I just want to be out of the room too.
I know.
I know.
I know.
I know.
He's at the game.
They got food, but it's not great.
He's at home.
He tells the chef.
Come on.
Yeah.
Wait, hold on a second.
What do you like?
You have the chef cook up for everybody?
Uh, you know, now I'm kind of selfish, so I'm just, he's just cooking for me.
I like so.
I love keeping them all to myself.
That's right.
Feed all the people around you fatty foods and have their bodies like fall apart.
They get whatever you should know.
You gotta do stuff.
That's what you gotta do when you're headed into like free agency.
What you do is you reach out to like the other free agent that are out there running
backs and say, you know what?
I got this great chef and then you became a little bit extra on the side so that he's
feeding the parable shit that their body's breaking down.
So when you head into free agency, you're in the best shape and they're all eating like
overweight, a little bit slower, bloated, because he's your guy.
I mean, that's a good point.
I don't know if I could get all that done.
If you want, he is going to be fine.
He doesn't need contacts with someone.
I'll do the dirty work.
I'll do it up to you.
Yeah, yeah.
I'll make the call.
This is the start of a beautiful partnership.
Yeah.
All right.
His name is Ashton Gentil.
It was a pleasure.
Thank you for all the nonsense.
He is going to be unlike any other interview you do today.
Sure.
Check him out.
Check out your feet.
Thank you to Billy Gilt.
Thank you to Christopher Sutton for producing Cory McConnell on video and Ben Cruz on social
I'm Shilka Padio.
