1:29

Finally, a horror movie that shows the true monsters are Irish businessmen.

1:34

We saw Halloween 3 season of the witch, so you know what that means.

1:38

Now it's time for...

1:41

How does this create?

1:43

We've got to have a good time celebrate some failure.

1:45

Not just me to hate it.

1:46

But you know you wanted it. How does this create?

1:48

Looks like we're in the media.

1:50

Critique of self-barrage.

1:52

Perhaps we'll find the answer to the question.

1:55

How did this get made?

1:56

Hello, people of Earth and welcome to How Did This Get Made?

1:59

I am joined as always by my two co-host,

2:02

June Diane Rayfield. How are you June?

2:04

I'm great, Paul. How are you?

2:05

Very good. And Jason Manzook is how are you Jason?

2:07

Pretty good, Paul.

2:08

Pretty good.

2:10

This week we do not have a guest.

2:13

It's a fuck yes.

2:14

How did this get made first?

2:16

This is just a three of us.

2:17

Is that true?

2:18

It is. Yeah, the first time we have not had a guest.

2:20

We've had many times where we've had not one of us.

2:23

Always had a guest.

2:24

Just a little bit of a...

2:25

See how this gets?

2:26

Yeah, people on the boards are going to freak out.

2:29

What is going conspiracy theory?

2:31

This show has jumped the shark.

2:33

I will say that I don't revel in anybody's downfall,

2:36

but I got a lot of tweets today that Paul Hogan

2:39

is getting a divorce after 23 years.

2:41

Oh no.

2:42

So I figured I'd mention that.

2:43

I don't know if our podcast played on par.

2:45

Sorry, Paul.

2:46

Maybe she's single.

2:48

Well, Linda Kosłowski is back on the market.

2:51

Oh shit.

2:52

For all of you out.

2:53

This is Get Made Lister's.

2:54

And also a big thank you to whoever sent us

2:57

Amy, the communications gorilla from Congo Action Figure.

3:00

It's in its packaging and it's awesome.

3:02

We'll take a picture of it.

3:03

Thank you, nameless person, who didn't even put your name in there.

3:06

You were selfless.

3:07

And it's, I mean, like a real like,

3:09

it's still in the package action figure is very rare.

3:12

It could have been from Amy, the communication.

3:15

What's not real?

3:17

It could have been, I'm just trying to figure it out.

3:19

Do you think the woman who played the gorilla sent it to us?

3:21

I don't know.

3:22

Hmm.

3:23

I mean, that would be, that would be pretty amazing.

3:24

By the way, I would found out on the mini episode

3:27

that gorilla was played by a man named Peter Elliott.

3:30

Wait, really?

3:31

Yes.

3:32

Because I did, oh, that's weird.

3:33

Because when I looked it up, it was a woman.

3:35

Who did it?

3:36

Yeah.

3:37

Maybe melt some people.

3:38

You know what? Maybe a lot of people lied on our message boards.

3:40

Anyway, you got damn liars.

3:42

Get off our goddamn message boards.

3:44

We are creating weird means.

3:46

Those means are great.

3:48

I mean less pretty much on that.

3:49

But you guys do some great memes.

3:51

Guys, Halloween 3, season of the witch, a fan favorite.

3:54

We asked people to vote on their favorite Halloween movies.

3:57

Is that, oh, I see.

3:58

This is the one that was voted on most consistently.

4:01

Was sleep away camp our last horror movie?

4:04

Our last Halloween horror.

4:05

Halloween horror, yes.

4:06

Yeah, that's what I meant.

4:07

Yeah.

4:08

I thought we would do some play camp two,

4:09

but I thought that would be maybe too easy.

4:11

Yeah.

4:12

This one is pretty amazing.

4:14

Halloween 3, a non-Michael Myers Halloween.

4:18

That's a really big question I have straight away.

4:21

Because I kept expecting Michael Myers to show up.

4:24

Well, here's the thing.

4:26

And is there a mythology I'm not aware of from?

4:28

Well, they are watching the movie within movies.

4:30

Right.

4:31

Halloween.

4:32

Yes.

4:33

A few times.

4:34

The big, the home movie draws to on Halloween night.

4:37

They'll be playing Halloween.

4:39

And everyone needs to stay tuned after it to watch a very special commercial

4:43

from Mask Factory Company.

4:46

Anyway, which is?

4:47

We're clear that we've been doing a big giveaway.

4:49

Which is a company that apparently has like,

4:52

is like a small company in Northern California

4:55

that has reached all over the United States.

4:57

They are supplying masks to the entire country.

5:00

I was sitting here on that.

5:01

Whether it was like a national thing or whether they were like.

5:04

Well, it cuts to like Dayton, Ohio.

5:06

Oh, right.

5:07

You're right.

5:08

It's weird.

5:09

It definitely is a national company.

5:11

And they're very, they only have three masks for sale.

5:15

Anyway, we'll get into all of this.

5:17

I will answer your question first.

5:18

It is not a Mike Myers movie.

5:19

Here's the deal.

5:21

John Carpenter said he would make a sequel to Halloween too.

5:25

Only if it stayed true to Halloween too, which is Mike Myers is dead.

5:29

And so it was going to become an anthologist series.

5:33

So Halloween four would have become another story around Halloween.

5:37

So that would have been the linking factor.

5:40

And why is this the season of the witch?

5:43

Yeah, I also kept expecting there to be a witch who was like.

5:47

Yes.

5:48

When we get to the factory and it's like what is causing like the masks

5:53

to be like murderous elements?

5:54

Yes.

5:55

I was like, they must have a witch.

5:56

Well, here's my thought.

5:57

I think without really saying it, the man who runs the mask factory is a warlock.

6:03

Ooh.

6:05

But season of the warlock didn't really work.

6:07

Yeah.

6:08

Because there isn't a song called season of the warlock.

6:10

I think it would be great if it was just like warlock's evil plan.

6:13

Oh, yeah.

6:14

I love that.

6:15

Now, I thought at one point we were going to find out that he,

6:19

because I couldn't understand why he was Irish, although that accent came and went.

6:24

A little bit.

6:25

Why he was Irish by the whole town was Irish.

6:28

And I thought at one point it was going to be that he was,

6:32

he was a leprechaun.

6:34

I love where this is going.

6:36

That's like he.

6:38

Well, you're saying that you're taking that leprechaun.

6:42

I think the leprechauns that we've dealt with on this show are proven to be evil.

6:46

The only leprechauns I think that are nice are the lucky charms leprechaun.

6:50

Well, what I'm trying to get at is I thought his motivation,

6:53

we've come to find his motivation simply to do practical jokes on kids.

6:57

And that by the way, that's a big part of his factory is not just about Halloween.

7:01

Really?

7:02

Most of his work is centered around novelty gifts and practical jokes.

7:06

That are real.

7:07

That aren't like deadly.

7:08

Well, here are some of the things he goes, don't you know this guy?

7:12

He invented a sticky toilet paper, the dead dwarf gag,

7:16

and the soft chainsaw.

7:18

All three don't sound like giant bestsellers, the dead dwarf gag.

7:23

There's a lot of similarities between this movie and toys.

7:26

Oh, yes.

7:27

A lot of similarities.

7:28

A lot of similarities between robot people and toy makers

7:33

and all this kind of weird fucked up stuff.

7:35

I felt like I was like, this is another toys.

7:38

Well, let's go back just to set up our main character.

7:42

So the movie starts off arguably with one of the worst title sequences of all time, potentially.

7:50

Like it looks like print shop, old school print shop.

7:54

This is a reference to people's one of my favorite.

7:57

I loved the opening and I will say I love it because it's ridiculous.

8:04

But I also unabashedly love John Carpenter's film scores.

8:09

He does all the music for all his movies and they are, they remain like amazing music.

8:14

I was thinking this one was great.

8:16

I loved it too, that's synthetic.

8:18

I loved it.

8:19

And the song, we'll get to the song in the plays about 15 times in the movie.

8:23

That is true 15 times.

8:25

I love it.

8:26

I love it.

8:27

It's weird is that when they show the, on TV there's a commercial for the movie Halloween

8:34

that has the exact same theme that this movie is using as a theme.

8:39

Which is like the world's that at that point.

8:42

I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, you can't do that.

8:44

You can't have the same scary movie theme be both part of my movie that I'm watching

8:49

and the movie within the movie.

8:51

So John Carpenter can do what he wants.

8:53

This is the high 80s man.

8:55

And by that rationale, like Snake Puskin could have arrived at any point in this movie and

9:00

been like, oh, by the way, I'm here too.

9:03

And Snake Puskin could have run into the Kurt Russell character from the same thing.

9:07

Yes, sure.

9:08

And they would have not have recognized each other.

9:09

Why not?

9:10

Why not?

9:11

So basically, all right, this movie, the protagonist of this movie is a drunk, like a doctor who

9:19

loves to fuck.

9:20

He fucks everybody in the movie and they love him.

9:23

Every woman is throwing herself at him like, this is what's so weird about the movie

9:27

because yes, he's set up, I guess is a womanizer and an alcoholic and sort of a, like a

9:33

running, almost like a renegade divorce dad.

9:36

A divorce dad.

9:37

A rugged wife.

9:38

Well, I didn't know if he was divorced from that woman because he goes, yes, yes, I'll

9:42

take the kids' trick or treating.

9:43

Oh, there's that.

9:44

He's definitely divorced from her.

9:45

Wait, the woman in the house?

9:46

Yes.

9:47

Oh, I thought they were together too.

9:49

I thought that was his wife.

9:51

And then later when he's on the phone with a woman, he's like, oh, my ex-wife.

9:55

I was like, oh, that must be a different woman.

9:57

Because he came into that house is because he came into his ex-wife's house, very normally.

10:01

He didn't knock on the door.

10:03

He just walked in as if he was dead and they were like, daddy's home, daddy's home.

10:06

And then they discuss that he's getting the kids the next weekend.

10:09

Oh, for how many?

10:10

I didn't pay attention to their downwards.

10:12

I will say the thing that I really did like about that when the father comes home is he,

10:16

he seems like he just came home from like a hard day like, hey, I'm going to see my

10:19

kids.

10:20

And then all of a sudden, he's like, oh, I'm on call.

10:21

I've got to go.

10:22

Yeah.

10:23

Like, he literally, he is not in the house for more than 35 seconds.

10:26

We're like, oh, got, yep, back to work.

10:28

See you later, guys.

10:29

He had bought the masks that the kids already had.

10:32

Now, he bought the masks that the kids didn't like because they had already purchased from

10:36

mom, the silver shamrock.

10:38

Silver shamrock.

10:39

The sad news masks.

10:40

Yeah.

10:41

Now this, this, this doctor is amazing.

10:47

He goes, he gets called into the hospital.

10:48

There was a guy who gets killed in the beginning of the movie or an arcade's killed gets frightened.

10:52

He's in a frightened coma.

10:54

Yeah, he's in a frightened coma.

10:56

He's like, like John Hawks in Congo.

10:59

Yes.

11:00

And he's holding clutching onto a Halloween Halloween mask.

11:05

And now he's so weird, by the way, because the doctors had been working on him for some

11:10

time and they must have, because he does seem he's in a coma.

11:13

They must have placed that mask in his hands almost in a prayer position.

11:17

Well, it was so odd that they did that matter.

11:21

That's what that out of his hands.

11:22

Well, the only thing that wakes him up is when he hears the silver shamrock commercial

11:27

on that one of the hospital TVs, he wakes up and is like, they're going to kill us all.

11:33

And then passes out again.

11:34

And everybody's like, what I can't figure out is that happens.

11:37

And then the police come and our sexy, sex addict doctor doesn't tell them that.

11:43

No, he doesn't say anything.

11:45

He kind of whispers it to the corner.

11:46

He basically flies.

11:47

That's the major plot point in the movie that's really flawed.

11:52

Why this doctor feels compelled to go on on this journey.

11:55

He's not figured this out.

11:57

He's not a law man.

11:58

Yeah, it's not a detective.

11:59

Even though they then start referring to him as a detective later.

12:02

Well, you're pretty good detective.

12:04

I think this movie is pretty much sums up with this guy is a horny dude.

12:09

And he sees a semi hot girl, the daughter of the guy who died from, well, spoiler alert,

12:15

he gets his brain crushed in the hospital.

12:18

The guy in the, the guy in the introduction who's running away from the bad guys, the

12:23

bad guys catch up with him in the hospital.

12:25

And they basically shove their fingers into his eye socket and like melkt his brain or

12:30

chop his brain.

12:31

And then the guy that he's in a suit.

12:33

By the way, this movie does have the thing that I love in all horror movies.

12:36

Everyone running, running, running.

12:38

And these guys just walk with your office and manage to get 50 to 75 feet ahead much

12:44

quicker at all times.

12:45

The slow walk beats people running.

12:48

At one point, the man is running just running away from a car.

12:53

Yes.

12:55

And gets away.

12:57

Get the car cannot close the gap.

12:59

It's not a dysfunctional car.

13:01

No car.

13:02

All they need to do is speed up.

13:04

Just put your foot down on that gas.

13:06

That guy, that guy's getting away.

13:08

Nope.

13:09

Nope, we're going to get him.

13:10

Don't you worry?

13:11

Also, when they try to chase out, well, when the murder crushes that guy's brain.

13:15

Oh, yeah.

13:16

This is my favorite part, one of my favorite parts of the movie.

13:18

He's got blood all over his blood gloves and he just kind of grabs like a hospital, like

13:22

a, like a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a,

13:25

and just like wipe stuff his blood, casually wipe something blood off his hands and then

13:28

walks out, like, son turns out,

13:30

son turns out, and our doctor then starts racing after him.

13:35

And again, this guy walking, walking with purpose, not going fast at all, is able to walk

13:40

out into the parking lot, into his car, dust himself with gasoline and light himself on

13:44

fire before a sexy doctor can get to him.

13:47

Yeah, and sexy doctor.

13:48

By the way, there's nobody working at this hospital.

13:50

No one.

13:51

The night shift is basically him and that nurse, the taps her ass.

13:54

He's like a sexual predator.

13:56

But here's what's so weird.

13:58

He is because he does those things, but there's nothing about him that actually seems like.

14:03

I don't know why these women are fucking him.

14:05

Yeah, he's like, I should have married you, Doris.

14:08

He's, he's, he's, and then slaps her ass and she's like, you should be so lucky.

14:13

And, and she, like, this guy looks to me, like, he smells like Budweiser and cigarettes.

14:19

And cigarette butts.

14:20

But he, by the way, he is not handsome.

14:22

No, who is he?

14:23

I've seen him in 10 million things.

14:25

Yeah, he's been in every thing.

14:26

I'm trying to think of what he's been in recently, so people have a reference point.

14:28

I'm gonna, I'm gonna pull it up.

14:29

But you know him.

14:30

He's like a quintessential character actor from the last two decades.

14:34

Look, Doris and his looks, what I was baffled by is he has no swagger.

14:38

He care, he, he doesn't seem interested in these women at all.

14:41

Nobody clearly is fucking him every.

14:43

Yes, I am.

14:46

Look, we talked about how Triple X is a problematic title for a mainstream pick budget movie, right?

14:55

You know, it's hard to pick the right title.

15:52

When I was a kid growing up, we had a possum problem.

15:55

And my stepdad would capture possums and keep them on the front lawn for Halloween.

16:00

So when kids came up the trick or treat, they would be completely freaked out by these crazy

16:04

possums hissing and rattling their cages because he thought that was hilarious.

16:09

It gave many people in the town a good, good fright.

16:11

And it did also make our house a must stop on Halloween night.

16:15

Anyway, that might have been a little bit cruel, but I believe that Halloween is built

16:21

on a simple act of generosity, right?

16:23

A kid's knock on a neighbor's door, that neighbor gives him candy.

16:26

That's beautiful, right?

16:27

And trick or treat for unicef takes that same spirit of generosity and gives families a

16:31

way to pass it on.

16:32

Trick or treat for unicef is a Halloween tradition that has been around for eight decades.

16:36

Generations of kids have carried the orange boxes door to door collecting donations alongside

16:40

their candy to help children around the world.

16:42

Donations help unicef provide things for children and crisis, including vaccines, safe

16:46

water, and emergency relief.

16:47

So this Halloween, you and your family can help make a difference for kids around the

16:51

world, give like a kid again and trick or treat for unicef.

16:55

Visit trick or treat for unicef dot org to get involved.

17:00

Things I can't live without.

17:02

I need a nice cardigan.

17:03

I need sweats that don't look like sweats that I can actually leave the house in a fall

17:09

jacket that I can wear indoor and outdoor because I'm in love with California.

17:12

I need these staple pieces in my wardrobe that I can go to time and time again that make

17:20

me feel and look good.

17:22

And I go to quince to get these elevated everyday essentials that use premium materials and

17:26

And when quince asked where he heard about them, let him know is how did this get made.

18:03

It's the best way to support the show and we appreciate it.

18:07

By the way, the names in this movie, her name is Ellie Brimbridge.

18:11

What is Brimbridge?

18:12

Another woman's name is mini mini blank.

18:16

Okay, wait, there is also a character named.

18:19

Okay, who says who's who this the are curly hair, bro, gets into a conversation with the

18:25

woman in the in the alley gets into a conversation with the woman next door to them in the

18:28

motel.

18:29

And they have like an awkward exchange.

18:31

And then the woman is like, oh, by the way, my name is Marge gutterman.

18:35

I'm a union square in San Francisco.

18:38

You should come look me up.

18:39

And then she is dead almost.

18:41

What?

18:42

Why did you just introduce yourself by first and last name and tell us a location that

18:47

we can find you at and then we never revisit any of this.

18:50

I feel like all these people, everyone in this movie are exposition robots.

18:53

They're like, I am this person.

18:54

I do this.

18:55

And this is my, Mike, everyone has their game.

18:57

Here's some of the names.

18:58

I'll just read them down.

18:58

Honestly, I think we were, I think we met her so that when she died, Ellie could seem

19:04

upset about it.

19:05

And she died.

19:05

She's like, Marge.

19:08

I had some sort of a connection.

19:10

Um, here's, uh, here's some of the names.

19:12

Uh, Colonel Cochran, Rafferty, Buddy Cupfer, Betty Cupfer, Little Buddy, Linda Chalice,

19:20

Grimbridge, and that, and that those are pretty much the big, the biggest ones.

19:23

Now this guy we were talking about where he's been in Tom Akins.

19:26

He's a Daniel Chalice.

19:28

And he's the doctor and you might have seen him in, uh, movies like Drive Angry.

19:34

As Cap, um, my bloody Valentine is Sheriff Jim Burke.

19:38

Um, he was in striking distance.

19:40

That was 93 sergeant Fred Hunter.

19:42

Right.

19:42

Yeah.

19:42

You would know him.

19:43

You know Bob Roberts, maniac cop, lethal weapon.

19:46

Oh, he is the lethal weapon.

19:48

That's actually his Michael Hunt Sacker.

19:49

He is the guy who like, Danny Glover goes to his like my daughter.

19:53

She's in porn.

19:54

Exactly.

19:54

Michael Hunt Sacker.

19:55

Oh, I love it.

19:56

All right.

19:56

The only reason I can think of as to why he goes to solve this is because he says,

20:02

he wants to fuck that girl.

20:02

No, that's not it.

20:03

I really don't think that's it.

20:05

Oh, I think that's it.

20:06

He seems surprised.

20:07

He does want to solve the mystery, but he wants to fucking plow this girl.

20:11

But why you that's the other thing?

20:13

He has another line though where he says, I've been at this hospital for eight years.

20:18

When he's talking to the foreigner and it seemed that that was the reason that he's done with hospital work.

20:24

He wasn't getting to protecting.

20:25

He felt so, um, connected to this hospital that he couldn't stand this happened on his.

20:31

Well, he was like, um,

20:33

he did some, he did, like he's talking to his ex wife on the phone at one point.

20:37

And he's like, two men died here tonight.

20:39

And you can hear him.

20:39

He's like, yeah, yeah.

20:41

This that woman she was a night, a real shrew.

20:45

Yeah, yeah.

20:45

Like all women because there are two people died last night.

20:48

And she's like, are you going to take the kids to trick a treating?

20:51

And he's like, I'll be there.

20:53

Let me go first.

20:54

I think first what she says is something to the effective.

20:56

Doesn't that happen all the time there?

20:58

And he has to be like, no, it wasn't my fault.

21:00

Like he's like, it wasn't during operating or whatever.

21:03

He's like, to be there's murder and there's police around.

21:05

He is, he, his wife sounds like a nightmare.

21:10

And so no one is like, let me get the fuck out of here with this hot little number.

21:14

She apparently packs the smallest little bag and it's only full of lingerie.

21:19

I believe lingerie in a park.

21:21

Well, she just flew in for MLA and these two are ready to party because also

21:26

when he gets before he gets in her car to go detecting, he just has a six pack of beer.

21:30

Oh, yeah, just a six pack of their alcohol.

21:32

When they actually meet it's alcoholic, but it means nothing ultimately.

21:36

Like, yeah, his alcoholism does not play a part in this.

21:39

And he's not, it doesn't make him a bad doctor.

21:42

Does not make him a bad detective.

21:44

And he's never trying to prove that he's not an alcoholic or that he, he's just an alcohol.

21:49

He's just an alcoholic.

21:50

It's just a fun side choice that his character is made to just be an inveterate trigger.

21:55

Because with the time that we meet him when he meets the girl, Grimberg, he is,

21:59

there he's at a bar on a Sunday morning watching cartoons, watching cartoons and drinking.

22:04

And it's crazy.

22:05

It's crazy too because he's sitting there in the bar and she just shows up.

22:10

The girl whose dad just died.

22:12

And she does say finally, she's like, the nurses told me you'd be here because you're a

22:17

fucking crippling alcoholic apparently.

22:20

And then the movie kind of skipped seven days.

22:23

The movie opens up like on October 23rd.

22:26

And then all of a sudden, the next day is Halloween.

22:30

Don't you also, sorry, just to back check once again, don't you also feel like he was

22:33

fucking the coroner?

22:35

Oh, the blonde.

22:37

He kissed him.

22:38

And then yes, later on the movie, he goes, I owe you a dinner.

22:40

I'll take any dinner with you.

22:42

Oh, he's totally, he's gross.

22:45

If you had a fuckery, definitely, though, I was obsessed with.

22:47

First of all, she's sifting through those ashes with no gloves on.

22:50

No, just her hands.

22:53

And it takes her, I would say probably five days to figure out that there are no human

22:58

remains.

22:58

Yeah.

22:59

And she's like, she goes, I think someone might be tampering with this because it's

23:03

just pieces of the car.

23:06

You know, it's like non organic material, whatever she says.

23:09

And then the, I mean, here's a big spoiler for later.

23:12

A lot of these people are robots.

23:13

And I'm sorry.

23:15

A lot of these people in the movie are robots.

23:19

We'll get into that.

23:20

The majority of these people.

23:21

But there was one thing to that one town, a solid 75% of residents are robots.

23:28

It takes place in the same small town as that.

23:30

That's what I didn't realize that.

23:31

So, so the town's people are robots as well.

23:33

I think a lot of the suits, the men and suits, because remember they, they say that the

23:37

drunk says, they should have all the, they brought in all outside labor.

23:43

You know, I think those people work at the factory, like, but like the bomb.

23:46

He's like a real person, you know, there's some real people there.

23:49

Now, but the, oh, so she's like doing the, she's doing the investigation in the corner.

23:56

And she's like sifting through.

23:57

And then all of a sudden, the second time we see her, it's just gizmos, like robotic gizmos.

24:01

Like, and they're in the same kind of petri dishes.

24:04

It's like, oh yeah.

24:05

And these are odd that all of a sudden I have like four trays of just like gyros and like,

24:10

like little like it, like it's so.

24:14

And they also make a big deal of the fact that she's the assistant coroner.

24:17

So she can't like speed along the first meets her.

24:22

We first go to her, but then like she, she is the only one.

24:26

Yeah, she never answers to anybody.

24:28

All right.

24:29

With no gloves on.

24:30

By the way, let's just for everyone to hear it.

24:32

This song, like I said, plays 15 times throughout the movie.

24:36

Every time there's a TV on this song, more than 15.

24:47

So that is the song the place are at the movie now.

24:58

Just to give you the scope of the plan.

24:59

So they're the evil guys, the silver Shamrock people, the advertising for the Irish, the Irish,

25:05

the Irish, the average, the amount of advertising that this company has put in, they have put

25:10

more money than Apple in their advertisements.

25:13

It is on every commercial nonstop.

25:16

And their big claim to fame is that they make three masks, a pumpkin mask, a skeleton

25:21

mask, in a witch mask mask.

25:23

The thing that I love about though is like, it's a terrible plan.

25:27

So they, like, so I mean, I guess we have to talk about, oh, I don't know how to say that.

25:30

So their plan is basically, they've put microchips into the mask.

25:34

They've sold masks to every child in the country.

25:36

Yes.

25:37

And at nine o'clock on Halloween night, they're in, they're, they're telling all the kids.

25:40

Because by the way, these masks are being sold in smaller shops.

25:44

I guess.

25:45

No, they're being sold everywhere.

25:46

No, because all of these local buyers from wherever are buying from this factor.

25:51

So where is there a, so her father was a buyer?

25:54

Is there a big, is there a big store versus small store, like small time America thing happening?

25:58

Yes, there is because the, the guy who died, the daughter gives a speech when they're in

26:03

the shop about how like business hasn't been gone.

26:06

Right, right, right.

26:07

And how like everybody's shopping at this.

26:10

So it's so, it's so, it's so, it's so you're saying that like, all right, so the plan is

26:13

that these kids put on this mask and then they watch us add and their heads explode into

26:16

snakes and bugs and bugs.

26:18

So now anyway, we'll get into that.

26:20

Just because they're all just said when these kids put on the mask and then watch the commercial,

26:25

their heads melt and turn into snakes and bugs.

26:27

That's nine p.m.

26:28

On Halloween night.

26:29

And by the way, and bugs.

26:31

So now are you saying that like the kids who buy the masks from the bigger stores won't

26:35

get hurt?

26:36

I don't think so because they're not from the Shammer.

26:38

Those are the masks.

26:39

Remember when he brings the mask to his kids and his wife, I think it's like, yeah,

26:42

let me guess.

26:43

Let me guess you went to the mall or something.

26:45

Oh, right.

26:46

Yeah, she's like, yeah, something like that.

26:48

Something like derisive to shopping at the mall.

26:50

And by the way, so where did she get those masks?

26:53

From Silver Shamrock.

26:54

No, no, no, I think from the dad's store, Silver Shamrock is the supplier.

26:59

I don't think they are individual.

27:00

They don't have the retail.

27:01

I think she bought those masks from Ellie's dad's store.

27:05

Okay.

27:06

Like the local in town can ask stores.

27:09

I don't know.

27:10

Every small town has one.

27:14

And we also just, she's shopped the post.

27:16

And the mask store.

27:17

And the mask store.

27:18

And can we all just talk to the reason why the daughter gets suspicious of this whole

27:23

plan is because her dad was like, oh, they're not letting me order my Halloween masks

27:27

for next year.

27:29

Yeah.

27:30

It's not even this year's Halloween.

27:31

He's like, no, he wasn't that the other guy.

27:33

They're both.

27:34

They both said they both are.

27:36

They just margin because they met so perverted.

27:40

You mean, Marge got her basically from from from you.

27:43

You're just glad San Francisco.

27:46

So they basically all are just like these are mask store owners going, we need to order

27:52

masks for next that.

27:53

I feel like we can't be left out in the cold.

27:56

You know why there are no masks for next sector because they're going to kill everybody.

27:58

All the children will be dead.

27:59

Although that's the thing is that it's unnecessary because like he, right, is he bringing about

28:05

like some sort of apocalypse?

28:06

I guess so.

28:07

Just a child apocalypse though because, oh, I guess maybe what he was testing with that

28:12

family.

28:13

No, that snakes and bugs kill the parents.

28:15

Yeah, it's that everybody would die.

28:17

But it did see what we got to his reasoning at the very end.

28:21

He said, well, you want it?

28:22

Do you want to hear his reasoning?

28:23

Sure.

28:24

Can we have this clip?

28:25

This is his reasoning.

28:26

It's a little bit long, but it's worthy because of understanding it.

28:29

Here we go.

28:30

We have a good joke and this is the best ever.

28:33

A joke on the children.

28:35

But there's a better reason.

28:39

You don't really know much about Halloween.

28:43

You thought no further than the strange custom of having your children wear masks and

28:48

go out begging for candy.

28:51

No, I was just talking about a joke, right?

28:54

The last great one took place 3,000 years ago when the hills ran wrecked with a blood

29:01

of animals and children.

29:04

Sacrifices.

29:05

The part of our world.

29:07

Our craft.

29:08

Which craft?

29:09

Do our sitels away of controlling our environment?

29:13

It's not so different now.

29:17

It's time again.

29:19

Do you think him getting into the novelty business was all leading out to this?

29:25

He spent years breaking into it.

29:28

Well he's a warlock there.

29:30

He is, I guess he's immortal.

29:32

Oh, and well, he's immortal and he spent a lot of time building up a very big novelty

29:38

business with the dead dwarf gag, the sticky toilet paper and the soft chainsaw.

29:42

Just for this?

29:43

Just for this big plan in 1982.

29:45

Now here's the other big problem with this movie.

29:48

I know many people have pointed this out, but the lapper part of this plan is that they

29:52

had to take a giant piece of stonehenge.

29:55

This, I don't understand at all.

29:58

They have a giant piece of stonehenge and when asked, he says something to the effective,

30:03

oh, we had a, I'm going to find out exactly how he said it because it's really worth reading

30:09

it.

30:10

He just, he grabbed a giant piece of stonehenge and brought it here and when asked

30:15

how did he do it?

30:16

He basically just says, oh, well, that was a crazy story.

30:19

I'll tell you that much.

30:20

But is that stone, are we to understand that stone is powering these chips and masks

30:27

and causing this?

30:28

Yes, because those scientists are chipping off pieces of the stonehenge rock putting it

30:34

into the microchips.

30:35

Now why would it still doing that?

30:37

Why?

30:38

And my question also is why does the microchip, when tampered with shoot a laser?

30:45

Yes, that's another problem.

30:47

I find out.

30:48

I remember when March gutterman is 10, like, I know if March gutterman's sleep attire is

30:53

a whole community.

30:54

I wrote what is March wearing to bed.

30:57

And I want it, like a mead like that.

30:58

You need that outfit.

30:59

I need that outfit.

31:00

Some sort of sparkly, capped it up like it was and there were pants to it.

31:05

They were, they were layers.

31:06

There was levels to it.

31:08

Well, there's a, I was very turned on by it.

31:11

I came a bunch.

31:12

And especially when she took the laser to the face like a real pro.

31:17

She got laser buccacchi.

31:18

And for the first time we saw her.

31:20

Yes.

31:21

And very like, you know, wholesome, corn fed, you know, mom.

31:26

Tell me, say it again, but slower.

31:28

And then she goes to bed in this insane outfit.

31:32

Like something that you would see on Little House in the prairie because they didn't have

31:35

sheets or stuff.

31:36

Except with, like, metallic material.

31:39

There was a lot of weird behavior.

31:40

There was that.

31:41

And then there was Ellie Bloomcock or whatever name is when she gets out of the sh-

31:46

There's a scene where she gets out of the shower.

31:49

Yep.

31:50

I'm very familiar with it.

31:51

Oh, yeah.

31:52

Oh, I rewind it.

31:53

I rewind it because I'm like, I'm not seeing boobs, but I'm pretty sure I can see her

31:56

bush.

31:57

Well, okay.

31:58

I thought so too.

31:59

I don't think that's the case.

32:01

I think you just see a shadow.

32:03

Okay.

32:04

Sorry, Jason.

32:05

I don't.

32:06

I'm so sorry.

32:07

So sorry.

32:08

Shadden.

32:09

What's up with the shower has a tiny towel.

32:11

Yes.

32:12

Sort of covers herself and then makes a beeline for the bed.

32:16

I don't know, man.

32:17

It was a little weird.

32:18

Well, there's even weirder is.

32:19

What's even weirder is Dr. Sexy comes back and you are like, oh, he's going to find it

32:24

maybe because in my mind, I was like, oh, maybe she's like wants to be naked for when

32:27

it comes back.

32:28

But no, she's put on lingerie.

32:29

No.

32:30

Yeah.

32:31

But isn't the exact same position where we left her?

32:32

Yes.

32:33

Just with lingerie.

32:34

And was there having a real hardcore effincene, uh, Marge

32:39

Gutterman realizes that one of the tags fell off on the on the mask and she's like, well,

32:43

let me let me start figuring out engineering here.

32:46

Anyway, isn't that her complaint about all out of the mask?

32:48

Yeah, the tag is falling off.

32:51

So she looks at the microchip on the back of that thing and just willing, nearly just

32:56

like, well, let me just rub a metallic object across it.

32:58

Let me start poking at this.

33:00

Seeing like at which point a laser zaps her in the face.

33:05

Boom.

33:06

At which point bugs crawl out of her mouth.

33:08

What?

33:09

Like, it cuts open her face or creates bugs.

33:14

That was my question.

33:15

Is the laser a bug bum?

33:16

Like, what the fuck is happening?

33:18

Not only does it burn your face.

33:20

Now, I want to ask Donjans.

33:21

So it's like evil creatures from Stonehenger inside the lake.

33:24

I didn't want to ask because I felt like, June, you knew a lot more about lasers than us

33:28

in the Congo episode.

33:29

Yes.

33:30

I just didn't know if you had any experience with lasers producing bugs.

33:33

I think these lasers were stone lasers and I think they had like diamond lasers.

33:37

Not diamond lasers?

33:38

I think they had like the earth's elements in them.

33:41

Boom.

33:42

And so that's why this, you know, the bugs and snakes were crawling out.

33:45

I'm very interested in the connection between these last three movies now.

33:49

Lasers, toys, robots.

33:50

It's very, we have a lot of connection.

33:52

And people being frightened to death.

33:55

Yes.

33:56

Yep.

33:57

Well, now look, so here's my favorite part.

33:58

She gets Marge Gutterman's face ripped off and then they all run out to see what happened

34:01

to her.

34:02

And then the evil toy manufacturer says, oh, don't worry.

34:06

We're taking her to the toy factory hospital.

34:09

We have one of the best in terms of carrying units.

34:12

That's the most suspicious thing ever.

34:14

It's a fucking factory.

34:15

There's that.

34:16

That's not like they make they make toys.

34:18

They make toys.

34:19

They goddamn make toys.

34:20

And it doesn't look like anything more than a straight up factory.

34:24

It looks like a assembly line factory and they're like, we'll take her to the toy factory.

34:29

Nothing suspicious of there.

34:31

Well, but super suspicious.

34:32

Oh, yeah.

34:33

Oh, yeah.

34:34

They have their own ambulance and they do take her away and stretch.

34:37

I thought the ambulance though was like, that's the hospital ambulance.

34:40

Like a divert it from the hospital.

34:42

Tend it over the toy factory.

34:43

What's the fear?

34:44

The fear is that the first act of the movie is like in this town where he lives with his

34:47

family and he's a doctor and blah, blah, blah.

34:49

And then he and this fucking curly haired Gellie get in the car and drive to a whole other location

34:56

where the rest of the movie takes place.

34:57

Yes.

34:58

Almost as if I started to feel like I feel like I'm watching out somebody poorly play a video

35:03

game.

35:04

Well, you're controlling the doctor and all you do is run around, get into cars, get out

35:09

of cars, get chased, you chase, but you don't know the mission you're on.

35:13

You can't, I couldn't figure it.

35:15

It's like someone doing Grand Theft Auto sandbox.

35:18

Yes, it's just running around.

35:20

There's no mission.

35:21

And no emotional connection to figuring this out.

35:23

Well, nobody did, but he hit, well, he should because his kids own those fucking masks.

35:28

And he never called.

35:29

Well, he does.

35:30

He does call his wife.

35:31

He does call his wife.

35:32

Yeah, he causes away from the fact.

35:34

Oh, yeah, yeah.

35:35

And again, she's like, you're dead.

35:36

D'all with the boss.

35:37

I'm not.

35:38

Yeah, you're just jealous.

35:39

Yeah.

35:40

Um, he's like, I'm fucking this broad now.

35:43

Leave me alone.

35:44

I'm drinking.

35:45

He's always drinking.

35:46

And by the way, if you're, even if you're a fucking drunk, don't share your bottle with

35:51

like a homeless guy on the street, even if the guy says which he does, I don't, I'm not

35:56

sick of nothing.

35:57

But can I get a drink of that?

35:59

Hey, guess what?

36:00

You knock shared drinks with God.

36:02

Weird.

36:03

Gross.

39:32

Here's the other thing too.

39:35

They go undercover in the factory as Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

39:39

Oh my God.

39:40

Unbelievable.

39:41

And they're going for a tour of the factory with this weird kernel.

39:44

And they immediately blow their cover when just for some reason out in the open Ellie's

39:49

dad's car is just out there.

39:51

This is a dead man's car.

39:52

He's guarded by weirdos and the robots ensues.

39:55

Yes.

39:56

Okay.

39:57

The other thing is the whole factory is guarded by weird Irish people ensues.

40:00

They kind of look like McEl brush to cough in bad soon.

40:03

Or to me they were like the precursors to like the agents and the matrix.

40:06

Yes.

40:07

I was saying they're like adjustment of poor, adjustment bureau people with less personality.

40:12

Oh.

40:13

We didn't stop.

40:14

We didn't talk about the the killed at homeless guy in the field by just ripping his head.

40:20

This is a big problem I have with the movie too.

40:22

I didn't told I did not understand why certain people were getting killed for talking.

40:28

Other people weren't for talking I think.

40:30

Yeah.

40:31

So he was this guy was like creating monopoly in town and didn't want anybody like he

40:37

had was he the mayor who was setting the curfew.

40:41

Oh yeah.

40:42

There is a curfew in town.

40:43

So he is like the toy manufacturer has that much say in the down.

40:47

Well, I think he just owns this town and is like he brought in other Irish people and

40:52

businesses because he felt they would be friendly to him and not ask the hard questions.

40:57

I think I would I would equate it to he is like Ben Gazara in Roadhouse.

41:06

Okay.

41:07

Yes.

41:08

Everybody is a powerful dangerous man that everybody is afraid of.

41:11

So much so that the the the the drunk is like I'm not afraid to say anything.

41:17

You fuck you, Carcran and then cut to next scene.

41:21

He's dead.

41:22

But no, we've wide rip his head off because it's only hours away from the plan happening

41:26

anyway.

41:27

Oh yeah.

41:28

And everyone's going to die.

41:29

So why did we I don't understand he also kills his best sales person.

41:33

Well that makes no sense.

41:37

I couldn't figure out why.

41:40

Why did they need Ellie's father's car?

41:42

Was that explained?

41:43

No, no, no.

41:44

Ellie explained what he discovered.

41:46

Well, that was the thing like Ellie's father clearly was investigating something in the

41:50

middle of the night at the factory, which caused him to run away or they captured him.

41:56

Like again, the only reason why he was at the factories because he tried to put an order

42:00

in for next year.

42:01

Now, let me tell you, I'm not an evil mastermind.

42:03

But if my plan was to kill all the children of this Halloween and someone said, hey,

42:07

we want to order masks next year.

42:08

I wouldn't give the realistic response.

42:10

I'm like, great, what's your order?

42:11

No, and I'll never have to fill it because all the children will be dead.

42:15

What was the issue?

42:16

Like, why was he so committed to telling the truth?

42:19

What's really weird?

42:20

No, we're not doing that.

42:21

We're not taking orders.

42:23

What's really weird about this movie?

42:24

And I feel like a lot of movies of this genre, of this era, like the, whether it's Friday

42:32

or the 13th or Nightmare and Elm Street.

42:36

The victims are teenagers and adults.

42:41

The true victims of this crime in this movie are like seven-year-olds.

42:46

Children.

42:47

Like the scene in which they put the kids in a pumpkin mask with his parents in the

42:53

room and then they're like, watch this, watch this happen.

42:57

And then they play the commercial that's going to activate the mask.

42:59

And the little boys head melts and turns into bugs and spider and giant snakes, giant

43:04

snakes come pouring out of the kids mask.

43:06

Craziness.

43:07

That was really, really, yes.

43:10

He was an annoying kid.

43:12

Oh, yeah, yeah, fuck that kid.

43:14

But still, it was upsetting.

43:15

But he did not deserve to die by having a face melt into bugs.

43:19

He, but then, oh my gosh, some of the funny stuff in that scene though too was the doctor

43:24

is watching them as they're in this like private test room.

43:28

And does one of the best reactions of all time.

43:31

If you haven't seen it, I'll try my best to describe it.

43:33

But it's a silent rage where both fists come up and he looks down and just shakes his

43:38

head like, yeah.

43:39

But not like that.

43:40

Yeah, like, oh.

43:41

Yeah.

43:42

Like, almost like he's like, I will avenge this.

43:47

So upset.

43:48

And why would he kill his best salesman?

43:51

He's guys done nothing but get those masks.

43:54

And by the way again, why was it the fact that I, the fact that he's just a bull.

43:58

A believer in their product.

43:59

I love that.

44:00

He's a big fan of their novelty toys.

44:02

And by the way, isn't it odd that after curfew that the toy maker is like, come over to

44:06

my factory.

44:07

I want to show you some commercials in a fake living room set because you need to watch

44:09

it in a fake living room.

44:11

And the wife, his wife, buddy's wife was a little bit weird.

44:15

Why does she start laughing maniacally?

44:17

Yeah, she's like, I was like, is this part of the thing that it causes people who are

44:22

watching it to become euphoric or something.

44:24

But then I was like, oh, I think she's just a fucking weirdo.

44:27

I think she was a weirdo.

44:28

I mean, it seemed her character wanted her husband to make more money and.

44:32

Like, after they find Ellie's dad's car, we don't know why it was there.

44:35

We don't know why they didn't dispose of it.

44:36

I don't even know why they didn't cover it.

44:38

Yep.

44:39

Cover it.

44:40

It was a little cover.

44:41

It was a little cover.

44:42

It was like, it was like a bikini with the bum a little off.

44:45

Yeah.

44:46

It's like the copper tone girl.

44:47

Now, the thought to it would have been very negatively affected by these Halloween

44:52

masks because she is the right age.

44:54

And but if you put it on her, the witch mask, she could make sex.

44:56

The copper tone girl.

44:57

Wasn't the copper tone girl Jody Foster.

44:59

Yeah.

45:00

Oh, really?

45:01

Yeah.

45:02

Now, here's my other question.

45:03

They're going undercover.

45:04

Yet they killed this.

45:05

This is the daughter of the man.

45:07

Yes.

45:08

You would think that this guy who owns everything would probably go, oh, that's probably the daughter

45:12

of the guy like you were the next kid.

45:14

Or the guy would be like, who are these people?

45:17

They are not people I'm giving toys to.

45:19

They are not.

45:20

They have no why are not.

45:21

They're not like that.

45:22

They're sold today.

45:23

But that that guy and his family makes sense why they're there.

45:25

These two just appear to like want a tour or something.

45:28

You know what I mean?

45:29

They don't.

45:30

So anyway, they see the car.

45:32

She runs at it.

45:33

She's like, she goes, Papa's car.

45:35

Yeah.

45:36

And immediately when in movies people call their, their father's like, I hate Papa.

45:40

Disgusting.

45:41

Disgusting.

45:42

I hate you.

45:43

You're a grown ass woman.

45:44

Papa's car.

45:45

Don't call anybody Papa.

45:46

Blah.

45:47

Blah.

45:48

Blah.

45:49

Blah.

45:50

Blah.

45:51

I was like, ew.

45:52

Blah.

45:53

You're gross.

45:54

Disgusting lady.

45:55

I think all the weird Irishmen and suites just kind of stare at her.

45:58

And then it's a weird moment.

46:00

And then like, Cochran's like, secret ingredient.

46:02

Haha.

46:03

Like, I don't know what was going on there.

46:06

And then the next scene.

46:07

I think what he was saying is like, she was about to go find the secret ingredient.

46:11

And that's why.

46:12

Oh, that's why.

46:13

Okay.

46:14

Now, the, now I will say the next, the very next scene.

46:17

They know nothing of the major plan at this point.

46:20

Nothing.

46:21

The two lead characters.

46:22

We don't as even in the audience know the major plan.

46:24

And the next scene, the guy goes, we got to call the Marines.

46:27

Oh, yeah.

46:28

Well, why?

46:29

Dr. Sexy.

46:30

Yeah.

46:31

Dr. Sexy, like all we know is that one of these men and suites killed the man in the hospital.

46:35

We don't have to call them Marines for that.

46:37

Like, there's no other.

46:38

Why are the Marines the option?

46:39

What they should call the Marines?

46:41

We call the Marines.

46:42

You know what?

46:43

We should call the authorities.

46:45

We should talk to the police.

46:46

No, maybe they can call them Marines.

46:48

Maybe there's a sheriff.

46:49

Maybe we should, there is, there is so many levels in the hierarchy of law enforcement.

46:54

Before you're like, people, people, people, people.

46:58

Malau operator.

46:59

Connect me with the Marines.

47:00

I also like, if there's anyone whose jurisdiction this is, doesn't fall under.

47:04

Okay.

47:05

Probably the Marines.

47:06

Yep.

47:07

Now, they plan to eradicate this guy.

47:10

Instead of just killing him outright, they're going to put a mask on him and play him

47:13

the commercial, too.

47:14

Yeah.

47:15

Because they've captured him at this point.

47:16

And, I know, by the way, the daughter has been kidnapped as well.

47:22

So he escapes his binds because who the fuck knows he gets out of his binds before the commercial affection?

47:27

Surgeon town.

47:28

And then manages to foil the entire plan incredibly easy.

47:36

Oh yeah.

47:37

He sneaks into a room.

47:39

He's so weird about what he does though.

47:41

What he ultimately does.

47:43

So he finds Ellie.

47:45

He grabs the two of them get to like the main hub.

47:49

And first of all, one of my favorite moments was when they were, they need to get from

47:53

one spot to the other and they just hid behind a card of masks and the card of masks moved

47:57

across the room.

47:58

That was amazing.

48:00

But what he ends up doing is taking a bunch of those buttons that killed Marge and going

48:06

up top to this sort of like, oh wait, yes, okay.

48:09

I want to see if I want to even set up a go-go ahead and I'll say it for this.

48:13

But this is what I didn't understand.

48:14

So he ends up killing all of these robots.

48:18

Yes.

48:19

By taking those buttons that they've made.

48:21

Yes.

48:22

One box, one cardboard box of those buttons and throwing them over the railing and the buttons

48:29

somehow hit railing and start shooting.

48:35

Well because because because not what happened.

48:40

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, here's the thing.

48:41

Two seconds before this and this is very important.

48:44

He goes up to a computer with no writing on it whatsoever, just blank buttons.

48:51

It's about four of them and it activates the commercial and then he runs upstairs so

48:56

the commercial is playing and then he dumps the buttons and the commercial is activating

49:00

the buttons and the buttons are shooting out the laser.

49:03

But those buttons, oh I see what you're saying.

49:07

But I still have an issue with-

49:08

They're being activated by the commercial.

49:09

Yes, I still have an issue of how he activated that commercial where he just ran up to

49:14

a faceless computer and just typed in like he just literally like the Star Wars computers.

49:19

He just hit four buttons and all of a sudden all the commercials started playing.

49:22

Shut down all the trash compactors and level D. Shut down all the trash compactors.

49:27

Now all of a sudden, they'll be then the the bad guy does the best thing ever.

49:32

The golf clap of like, mmm bravo.

49:35

You have done it.

49:36

You've done me in and then lasers come at him and he disappears.

49:43

So is he not human?

49:45

Is he not corporeal?

49:47

Because everyone else has snakes come out of him.

49:51

But he's like some sort of warlock I guess we're meant to believe, right?

49:54

He's some sort of like Irish leprechaun warlock magic type figure.

49:59

Some sort of like trickster character.

50:02

I don't know what his deal is.

50:03

But he's a piece of garbage who when he gets zapped he probably is okay.

50:08

Well do we know if he re-occurs?

50:10

He does not re-occur.

50:11

Okay.

50:12

They escape the the the the factories on fire.

50:18

Now this is where the movie gets in my opinion amazing because it gets darker.

50:23

So he's driving with he's driving with the girl and he's putting on the radio because

50:27

why not why not listen to some tunes they just they save the day.

50:31

Okay, bro.

50:32

By the way, they didn't save the day because he's still got to stop people from watching

50:35

that commercial.

50:36

Oh yeah, so he's pretty casual to be changing the radio stations.

50:39

Finding the perfect jam.

50:40

There's another part of the movie.

50:42

He's got his own children from the NEC.

50:43

Yes, there's another part of the movie earlier where they get to the town or something

50:48

and she's like, well, should we go investigate or whatever?

50:50

And he goes, eh, it can wait till tomorrow.

50:52

Like I'm almost 100% sure this cannot wait till tomorrow.

50:57

He left his post as a successful doctor in town to be an investigator.

51:01

I would be willing to guess dozens of his patients die because of his absence.

51:07

And by the way, yeah.

51:10

He leaves a hospital where for all intents and purposes, he is the only doctor.

51:15

Yes.

51:16

The biggest death toll I'm sure was at that hospital.

51:18

Oh, without a doubt.

51:20

So now he's driving and all of a sudden, Ellie attacks him, starts attacking him.

51:27

We put together very quickly that she has been killed and turned into a robot very quickly

51:31

turned into a robot.

51:32

Is that what happens to people?

51:34

See, we've never actually seen that before.

51:35

No, they just they were able to do.

51:37

No, no, I don't think.

51:38

Oh, oh,

51:39

he does explain that he makes robots.

51:42

Right.

51:43

But was she created or was she?

51:45

That's my question.

51:46

Or all the robots.

51:47

Or the robot.

51:48

Men we saw were they like at one time people?

51:52

I think they were because or no, because he said that was like when he when the lead character

51:56

touches that old woman when he breaks into the factory in her head.

51:59

The knitter off.

52:00

The knitter.

52:01

Like he goes on.

52:02

It was a very expensive piece of plant.

52:04

It's a very old model from Germany.

52:06

Yeah.

52:07

So she was once a town's person?

52:10

No, she's like I think a German person or something.

52:13

We, yeah.

52:14

But is what he's doing taking?

52:17

You're in question is your question is is he is he is he is he is he is he is he is he

52:20

you're saying is he taking human bodies and making them into robots or is he making puppets

52:24

that look like humans?

52:26

Yes, that's my question.

52:27

I don't know.

52:28

I I fucking wish I did.

52:31

And they don't even want to describe.

52:33

They don't yeah.

52:34

And if only Joan Q.

52:35

I could show up in this movie as a character from Tulle's I would know what was up.

52:40

Here's the thing he could be doing the latter because her robot is is very lifelike.

52:45

I mean, it looks exactly like a lot of them are and why and why did that robot help foil

52:50

the plan?

52:52

Ultimately that robot help foil the evil plans.

52:54

If he made this robot, that's a flaw in the machine literally.

52:59

And when did he get time that the girl had only been kidnapped for a mirror two hours

53:04

at I'm going to give him more time than I think two hours that girl's been kidnapped.

53:08

He was able to turn her into a robot and put on clothes because we kept them.

53:12

They kept on cutting to her and she was on that slab of cement.

53:14

Yeah.

53:15

All these like devices on her.

53:17

It seemed like they were turning her body into a robot.

53:20

But okay, that would be I think that would be harder.

53:23

I think it would be harder.

53:24

You think I think maybe it's this.

53:26

Maybe it's this.

53:27

Maybe there is a generic.

53:28

This is how I would do it.

53:30

If I was in their position, we have the materials to make robots.

53:37

Right.

53:38

Because we're toy factor.

53:39

Exactly.

53:40

So what you should do is you should choose like three models, like an adult man, an adult

53:46

woman, and like something else.

53:49

And then when you get people like an Ellie, you just take her skin off and put it onto

53:55

the dummy onto the robot.

53:57

And like you secure it like with staples or something in the back.

54:01

Jason, I'm going to see that's how I run it.

54:04

It's pretty cool.

54:05

Individual custom robot making would be incredibly time consuming and expensive.

54:10

All right.

54:11

Jason, I'm going to give you a different way of how I would run it.

54:12

If I was a civil master, you know what we need to do?

54:15

Evil master mind shark tank.

54:17

I would do this.

54:19

I would talk to the people who do that bodies exhibit that tours around the country where

54:25

they take human bodies.

54:26

So that is homeless Chinese people.

54:28

Homeless and prisoners and they make their bodies full of plastic.

54:31

Yeah.

54:32

That's basically the whole thing.

54:33

Yeah, it's really bad.

54:34

It's pretty.

54:35

It's pretty.

54:36

It's really bad news.

54:37

It's paid money to see that.

54:38

Yeah.

54:39

You contributed to the murder of I actually paid money because I took you on a date there.

54:42

We had a great.

54:43

We had a great date.

54:44

It was a great date.

54:45

We had together.

54:46

We had a great date.

54:47

Did that like was that like a very?

54:49

Yeah, I was going to say a very seminal experience.

54:51

Yeah, it was pretty amazing.

54:52

I put my engagement ring to her in one of their hands.

54:56

So on one of their fingers, we're like, let's take this.

55:00

Take it.

55:01

So the plate I would do it like that.

55:03

I would plasticize them and then they're full of fucking gears.

55:07

Yeah, this is what it is.

55:08

That's what's weird.

55:09

But I think you could just go into the once you put the plastic, like once you put the

55:13

plastic fluid in there, you could just drop in a couple gears.

55:15

No, what you do is you take the body.

55:17

You put similar to what they did.

55:19

You put it on that saliva cement.

55:21

And then you create a device that sucks out all of the organs to just leave a layer of

55:25

skin that you can press on like a pancake.

55:27

What about bones?

55:28

You take them all out.

55:29

The bones are gone.

55:30

This is suction.

55:31

This is vacuum suction vacuum.

55:32

What kind of suction vacuum you have?

55:33

Oh, Damon Dash.

55:34

What do you say?

55:35

Damon Dash is out.

55:36

Damon's out.

55:37

Damon's out.

55:38

Warriors still in.

55:39

You've been instilling.

55:40

You've been instilling.

55:41

Mr. Wonderful.

55:42

And.

55:43

Wait a second.

55:44

So first, in your scenario, you need to invent a machine that.

55:47

Yes, that's patented.

55:48

That sucks out organs and pulverizes and sucks out bones.

55:52

So you just left with what?

55:54

Your skin, just someone's skin and face and like.

55:57

That sounds a lot like what I did.

55:58

When I did.

55:59

Okay.

56:00

You take that skin and you put it on a robot body.

56:01

No.

56:02

Then you create the robot.

56:04

It's not about having those robot bodies because they're not going to fit every person.

56:08

Every person is different.

56:09

So you're going to custom build?

56:11

No, you just take that and you put in your organs or your wiring, which is the

56:18

same for every robot.

56:19

By the way, the rest of it was stuffing.

56:22

But by the way, the rest of it was stuffing.

56:24

By the way, those robots were filled with you.

56:26

Like with stuffing?

56:27

She's like, she's not pulling up.

56:28

She's like, yeah, basically.

56:30

Like, well, look, those robots were definitely, they're something weird there because

56:34

basically our lead character, the doctor, just punches one in the belly and his head goes

56:38

right through and then just green goo is just bubbling out.

56:41

So clearly part of their plan was just filling up with green goo.

56:45

I hope it.

56:46

Yes.

56:47

I don't know.

56:48

Get them to say, I don't know.

56:49

Fill them up with green goo and then let them go.

56:52

All right.

56:53

So the end of the movie, he fights.

56:55

She loses her head.

56:56

He has a fight with an arm, very evil dead.

57:00

But it all comes back to my favorite character in the movie.

57:02

We didn't talk about it at the top.

57:04

The gas station attendant who found Ellie's dad in the beginning and oddly enough, they

57:09

let him get really into the hospital.

57:13

And he's like, oh, sir, I'm always told that you're supposed to help people.

57:17

Unless there's trouble and I don't, is there trouble?

57:20

I want to, like this guy is the crazy, this guy has definitely seen some shit, been through

57:24

some shit.

57:25

Does not want to be blamed because he lives in a stone's throw from that factory.

57:29

Oh, but wait, he's a stone throw from that factory.

57:34

Why did the guy get brought to the hospital?

57:37

They must be close.

57:38

There's two.

57:39

Very close.

57:40

Yeah.

57:41

He's in walking distance because both guys ran to him.

57:45

But yet they seem that they were going on an adventure to go up to this other town.

57:49

Maybe it's not.

57:50

Maybe it's only a couple of tons away.

57:51

But I mean, the geography is really weird.

57:53

So anyway, they run back to that gas station attendant.

57:56

This maniac doctor basically calls up on the phone and goes, take it off.

58:02

Take it all off on every day.

58:03

I don't know who he's calling the mayor of television.

58:06

Yeah.

58:07

Take him off.

58:08

It's killing children.

58:09

It's killing children.

58:10

I'm guessing he's called the Marines.

58:14

My only guess is that he is currently on the phone with the Marine.

58:18

And the Marine.

58:19

And something he thinks, oh, this is never going to work.

58:21

And it does.

58:22

Yeah.

58:23

The commercial starts to air.

58:24

And it's like, we interrupt this program.

58:27

And then, and then, and then he changes the, and then the, then the kid, there's a kid

58:30

in front of him wearing a mask, watching the TV, changes to another channel.

58:35

The song, the song starts like, we interrupt this commercial.

58:38

And then finally, he changes to the final channel.

58:41

And I guess that, that TV station didn't get the word.

58:44

The Marines didn't get to that TV station in time.

58:47

And the commercial plays.

58:48

And I guess the idea is, many children are going to die.

58:53

Yeah, bugs, naked.

58:54

And by the way, people have brought this up.

58:56

It's a very good point.

58:57

Why not yell at the kid who's four feet in front of you?

59:00

Take off the mask.

59:01

Or just grab the mask.

59:03

No, he's just, so the movie ends darkly.

59:06

The children, the plan worked.

59:08

Or some work just not as big as they wanted it to.

59:11

And by the way, are we talking about, I don't want to get into specifics of television,

59:15

but I'm going to have to say, I imagine that these are local commercials, not national

59:19

commercials.

59:20

And local, very, very northern California, as the title card say.

59:25

And then they cut to Dayton, Ohio.

59:27

They're like, I mean, it's like all over the place.

59:30

Film critic, like Jim Harper called Wallace's plot deeply flawed.

59:33

He says, any plot dependent on stealing a chunk of Stonehenge, shipping it across the

59:38

Atlantic is going to be shaky.

59:40

But there are four times zones across the United States.

59:43

So how can, how it is, it would be staggered.

59:48

So New York, the commercial would have already aired.

59:50

But at the time it got to New York, the California.

59:52

So basically, yeah, he saved everyone in California, but everybody else is fucked.

59:57

Yes.

59:58

Now, this is my favorite review of this movie, Vincent Canbey from the New York Times.

1:00:05

I thought it was worth reading.

1:00:07

And he goes, Vincent Canbey struggled to aptly define this film.

1:00:13

He says, how long have you three managed his manages, the not easy feat of being anti-children,

1:00:20

anti-capitalism, anti-television, and anti-irish all the same time?

1:00:25

I mean, that is true.

1:00:29

This movie is amazing.

1:00:30

It costs $2.5 million to make.

1:00:32

And it's opening weekend.

1:00:33

It made 6.3.

1:00:36

It was a gross 14.4 million.

1:00:38

So it was a huge ship, but did nothing, and comparatively, too.

1:00:42

The movies that came out that year, like, Pulitzer Guys, which made 76, Friday the 13th

1:00:46

Part III, which made 34 in Creepshow, which made 21.

1:00:51

Now obviously we had an opinion about this movie, but there are other people who have other

1:00:55

opinions.

1:00:56

Now it is time for a second opinion.

1:00:58

Just a word out there to anyone who is inclined.

1:01:09

You can make your own second opinion theme, and we will drop it in if it beats that one.

1:01:13

It probably will.

1:01:15

All right.

1:01:16

These are great.

1:01:17

And if you want my Acapella, it's all right.

1:01:19

We should maybe all join in.

1:01:20

We should give him a little track.

1:01:21

That will track.

1:01:22

All right.

1:01:23

So you give him a little something.

1:01:24

Oh.

1:01:26

What was it?

1:01:28

Do we want it to be close to that, or does it matter?

1:01:30

Anything.

1:01:31

Oh, these are second opinions from top to bottom crazy movies are fun.

1:01:37

Do you want to give one?

1:01:38

Second opinion, second opinion, then I'd your first, but they're going to be a second.

1:01:46

From the jips of Amazon, they come.

1:01:50

Second opinions for everyone.

1:01:53

Second opinions.

1:01:54

Second opinions.

1:01:55

All right.

1:01:56

Here we go.

1:01:57

Second opinions.

1:01:58

Micah.

1:01:59

We got to get the guy who sang the...

1:02:03

Oh, yeah, the crash test.

1:02:06

Dummies guy.

1:02:07

That guy just sang the song.

1:02:08

That voice was so deep.

1:02:11

Oh, man.

1:02:12

We should get the guy.

1:02:13

There was this boy.

1:02:14

Who?

1:02:15

Garden true or an accident.

1:02:18

Oh, my God.

1:02:19

That's terrible song.

1:02:20

Can we just get Eli Braden, the guy who does all the Howard Stern, Rob and Son.

1:02:23

Oh, yeah.

1:02:24

Let's get all of them.

1:02:25

Yeah, it's getting that guy.

1:02:26

We're waiting to do it.

1:02:27

Let's get Mikey to do it.

1:02:28

Let's get that opera guy to do it.

1:02:30

Oh, my God.

1:02:31

The opera guy.

1:02:32

All right.

1:02:33

The one thing I learned from second opinions this week is that a lot of people don't know how

1:02:35

to spell Michael.

1:02:38

Mike Myers has brought up in pretty much everyone.

1:02:40

But Michael writes, on the profanity meter, I give it one strike.

1:02:44

A few words, but this film is another reason I love this movie so much.

1:02:48

Very little profanity involved here.

1:02:50

You can sit back and actually enjoy it without having to cringe every time someone opens

1:02:54

their mouth.

1:02:55

I even find the most scary and gory films are so much more enjoyable when little profanity

1:03:00

is used.

1:03:01

Five stars.

1:03:02

Yeah.

1:03:03

That's fucking great.

1:03:05

And then it's five stars.

1:03:07

This is another great one from Go Birds.

1:03:11

Director Tommy Lee Wallace effectively used the alter theory when he crafted this concise

1:03:16

and disturbing view of Halloween and its ramifications on American society and more

1:03:20

ace.

1:03:21

His producer, John Carpenter, allowed Wallace to effectively spin his tail of fate of

1:03:26

adolescence when they shrug the responsibilities of family life.

1:03:30

Parents should be warned.

1:03:31

This is not suitable for young children under any circumstances.

1:03:35

Five stars.

1:03:36

By the way, that's not what it's about.

1:03:38

It's not about adolescents shrugging their responsibilities.

1:03:41

They're kids.

1:03:42

They're going out trick or treating.

1:03:43

Although that first scene with the kids, they are really annoying when they're in the

1:03:47

house and the mom wants to get them to eat and they just, they do run to the TV.

1:03:51

Yeah.

1:03:52

Little zombies.

1:03:53

Yeah, kids love TV.

1:03:54

Yeah.

1:03:55

They do.

1:03:56

Speaking of which, you have fucking idiots.

1:03:57

We have a dumb kids.

1:03:58

We go away from the stupid TV.

1:04:00

You dumb little fucking kids.

1:04:01

They love it.

1:04:02

They love it.

1:04:03

We have a kids review here.

1:04:05

Talk about a mass murderer.

1:04:07

That guy publicizes this product enough to get it to Abercrombie level.

1:04:11

That's what he wrote.

1:04:12

It's really weird though that kids would be racing the tune into a commercial at 9 p.m.

1:04:17

on Halloween.

1:04:18

It's prime trick or treating time.

1:04:21

Guys, this movie is fucking stupid.

1:04:24

I have no like, I mean, the plot is insane.

1:04:28

Two more reviews.

1:04:29

I have a few of them because they're so good.

1:04:30

KW, KM Morris writes, this movie has it all.

1:04:34

This movie has all the essential key components for a great horror movie.

1:04:39

Food, plot, atmosphere, five stars.

1:04:43

Oh my god, that's it.

1:04:44

That's it.

1:04:45

Mood, plot, atmosphere.

1:04:46

Yes.

1:04:47

MPA.

1:04:48

What is atmosphere mean?

1:04:49

I guess it's spooky atmosphere.

1:04:51

Oh man, you know what?

1:04:53

I totally love that movie.

1:04:54

It was like full of mood and plot, but you know what?

1:04:56

There wasn't enough atmosphere for me.

1:04:57

And it's not a good horror movie.

1:04:58

Not a good horror movie.

1:04:59

It was like a B-minus for lack of atmosphere.

1:05:02

And finally, Pumpkin Head.

1:05:04

This guy was pretty great.

1:05:05

He goes, I think this film gives you, oh sorry.

1:05:07

I have to sometimes navigate bag grammar.

1:05:09

So this movie really makes you think, I bet you this could really happen.

1:05:15

I give it five stars for the cinematography.

1:05:17

And I like the scene after the boy's face explodes with snakes.

1:05:20

And Tom is just watching it.

1:05:23

Five stars.

1:05:24

These, everybody's an asshole.

1:05:29

Hey, Pumpkin Head, you're an asshole.

1:05:31

Just so you guys know, Jamie Lee Curtis did uncredited voice work in this movie.

1:05:35

Really?

1:05:36

And the voice of the people saying, go home, go etch the curfew voice.

1:05:40

And telephone operator.

1:05:43

So that tie together, Halloween.

1:05:45

I just want to take this moment to apologize to Pumpkin Head.

1:05:48

I didn't mean it.

1:05:49

You know what I said, Pumpkin Head.

1:05:50

You're great.

1:05:51

Would you guys recommend this movie?

1:05:53

No, yes.

1:05:54

I think you should watch it.

1:05:55

I definitely think you should watch it.

1:05:57

Here's the thing.

1:05:58

Here's what I will say.

1:05:59

Sure, fine, watch it.

1:06:00

But if you are looking for like a scary movie to watch and you haven't seen Sleepaway

1:06:05

camp.

1:06:06

Yeah, that's a different.

1:06:07

This is definitely like, this was a bit of a letdown.

1:06:10

I mean, this is, it's bonkers.

1:06:12

As you can tell, it is bonkers.

1:06:15

And it's weird.

1:06:16

I think you would enjoy it.

1:06:17

It's more weird than, I guess I can't expect it.

1:06:19

It's more weird than scary.

1:06:20

It's more scary.

1:06:21

It's more scary.

1:06:22

There's not a lot of spooks.

1:06:23

For a long time, I thought Michael Myers was going to be in the movie.

1:06:26

So I was genuinely confused when like 45 minutes in, he had not appeared.

1:06:30

No, he only appears in scenes from how he knew that.

1:06:34

I would have been less, maybe I would have been more into the movie.

1:06:36

Yeah, I kept trying to figure it out.

1:06:38

Like, well, is that guy going to turn into Mike Myers?

1:06:41

Well, I think one of the main plot points that connects them is that it's about masks.

1:06:44

I'm talking about Austin Myers.

1:06:45

Mike Myers.

1:06:46

Oh, no, no, no, no, no.

1:06:47

We do that with that.

1:06:48

Okay.

1:06:49

Hey, I knew the villain Michael Myers was not in this movie, but I assumed Mike Myers from

1:06:54

this from my memory.

1:06:55

Yeah, so I married an ax murderer.

1:06:57

Yes, center in it live.

1:06:59
